The Kill Count

A comedic recap and kill count of “all our favorite horror movies.” Kill Counts are much more than their premise, offering behind-the-scenes production information and cultural context about each horror film covered, which range from mainstream classics to hidden gems. Along the way, James offers a critical review and a plot explanation filled with jokes.

Dead Meat Podcast

Chelsea and James (& their pets) are a family, and they like to get scared together. Join them as they dive into all things horror - with episodes reviewing the biggest (or most obscure) movies in the genre, diving deep into horror themes and history, putting the couple to the test with horror-themed games, or interviewing people in the horror space.

Dead Meat Horror Awards

In this annual awards show, Dead Meat honors the incredible talent and passion that goes into growing and evolving the genre we love. Horror films released during the previous calendar year are eligible for a variety of “Prime Rib” trophies in different categories, which include genre-specific honors such as “Best Villain” and “Best Kill.”

What’s Your Favorite Scary Movie?

James interviews a variety of guests about their favorite movie in the horror genre and why they love it so much. At the end of each episode, the guest tries to stump James with trivia about the film they’ve discussed.

They Talk

James told Zoran to make his own show, so he did! They Talk! is a parody series that takes previously silent killers like Jason Voorhees, Ghostface, Michael Myers and more then gives them voices so you can hear their innermost thoughts. Part Mystery Science Theater 3000, part Bad Lip Reading, and all parts insanity. Seriously one episode has a Predator Bachelor Party. You're gonna want to see this.

Interviews

Dead Meat sits down with the talent behind upcoming horror media to learn all about their process creating the projects we love. Interviews range from longform and in-depth to short and speedy.

Ranking

James gives his personal ranking of things, usually from a franchise - whether it’s the movie installments themselves or the kills within them.

Cut Comparison

A side-by-side comparison of different cuts of the same film. Find out why and how the theatrical release of a movie differs from its “director’s cut” or “unrated version”.

Event Videos

A video tour of horror-related events, usually conventions or seasonal theme park makeovers. Event videos often include short interviews with horror talent and fans alike.

Supercuts

A montage of moments from videos on Dead Meat, compiling running jokes or common references back-to-back for easy enjoyment.

(Patreon) Commentary Tracks

James and Chelsea, and occasionally a guest, record an audio-only commentary track meant to be played in sync with the movie they’re watching. You can hear their thoughts as they happen in real time - it’s like watching a movie with very talkative friends!

(Patreon) Unedited Reviews

James offers up 15-20 minute movie reviews as a Patreon reward. The reviews are unscripted, off-the-cuff, and unedited - a much more casual and raw look at what he thinks about these films.

(Patreon) Watchalong Streams

James watches horror movies on a livestream with patrons of a certain tier. They discuss the movie in real-time, with the live chat often providing insight and jokes to enhance James’s (and your!) viewing experience.
